So I am not one for making New Years Resolutions, but I like the idea of doing more and doing less of things that are working or not working for me.   This year I was lucky and saw a lot of live shows and I realized that although sometimes the shows run late and it’s a long drive to the venue, it is always worth it because I literally spend the next 48 hours basking in the pure joy of live music after.   So that is definitely top of my list… more live shows.

Having said that though, I also need more down time because I did not read as much as I usually do last year and I have a lot of good books sitting on my shelf waiting to be read (and a whole bunch in my Amazon wish list waiting to be bought!)  So reading more books needs to be a priority for me.

Lastly – I had a fun exchange with Zoraida Sambolin from NBC 5 Chicago last week.  I was watching her and thinking what a hugely positive and professional person she is and decided to tweet my thought.  So I tweeted “Can I just say@ZoraidaSambolin just makes me happy …love watching her on #Chicago NBC.  she is personable, professional – the full package.  Rock on Zoraida! ”   I really wasn’t thinking about a response when I tweeted that, I just wanted to say it.  Of course the lovely Zoraida tweeted back.  She said “That just made my year, thank you! I aim for joy every day.”

So I thought about all the negativity on Twitter and decided in 2019 I am going to try and tweet as much positivity as I can.  (I don’t tweet that often, usually just about tennis) but I am going to make an effort to do so.

So there you go … those are my three things … What would you like to do more of in 2019?
