What’s your favorite New Artist?

We are all about the Classics at 95.9 the River but that doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate some of the new music coming out today.  I get it … we all think the music of our generation is the best ever … (Mitch would argue that the music of the 60’s and 70’s reigns supreme … I on the other hand would argue that the 80’s and 90’s are the best ever!)  BUT there is some great new music out there.   Below is one my new favorite bands … I saw them live this summer and they were really great.

AJR is an American pop band composed of multi-instrumentalist brothers Adam, Jack, and Ryan Met. The band is a pop group who write, produce and mix their material in the living room of their apartment. Their most successful songs are “I’m Ready”, “Weak”, and “Burn the House Down”.  In 2019, their third album Neotheater debuted at number 8 on the Billboard 200,  and hit number 1 on the Top Rock Albums chart.

Now the below song is my favorite partly because I can totally relate to the lyrics and the other is because when I saw this band live this summer … this was one of the best sing-a-long songs ever!   It is an incredibly good video visually …so even if this band isn’t for you … trust me you will love the video.
