Woodstock 50 Revisited with Mark and John who were there!!!

It was so awesome to have these two New Englanders on the show today to talk about their experience at Woodstock, 50 years ago in 1969.  Mark Rice and John Davenport (bearded dude) had some great stories to tell and will be telling them this weekend, dubbed, “the Reunion-5o Years on the Road Less Traveled from Woodstock and High School!”

Here is some of that info in a note from Mark!

I am part of a Woodstock Photo Exhibit sponsored by Republic Bank of Chicago.  They have a traveling exhibit that will be at 8 different branches thru the middle of August.  The exhibit was also at Naper Settlement, where they had a glass case with some of my Woodstock memorabilia – my 3 day ticket, a 50 year of Woodstock t shirt from the event, a Yasgur’s farm milk bottle, a Life magazine and a Woodstock handbill.
This has been a great event and many questions are asked after I give my 10 minute talk.
Also, my best friend of 53 years – John Davenport, who I hitchhiked to Woodstock with and who I still speak with every week – is flying in from Tampa for the weekend and we’ll both be attending the opening reception at the Oak Brook branch of Republic Bank of Chicago exhibit tonight , 8/15/19 at 7pm.
I have dubbed the weekend “The Reunion – 50 Years on the Road Less Traveled from Woodstock and High School”!
Our itinerary includes a White Sox game (courtesy of Republic Bank), a trip to “Field of Dreams” in IA,  “the The Band band” concert at Naper Settlement, eating at Portillo’s (his favorite), an interview with the Naperville Sun and much more.
