Yeah, We Got Snow – Let’s Have Some Fun!

Hi, Leslie Harris filling in for Mitch Michaels, and yeah baby, we got snow!

We’ve been pretty lucky this winter. Temperatures have been more mild than in past years, and this past week has been the first significant snow we’ve gotten. Even so, I’m not a fan of being out in the cold but now with the pandemic, I have been missing my friends, so I decided to suck it up and get out and start walking.

I met my friend Laura at Waterfall Glen on Saturday, and it was beautiful. (Side note, my feet get cold really easily, so I have been using those disposable foot warmer thingies. OMG, I can’t believe how much happier my feet are this winter!)

On Sunday, my husband and I shoveled a bit, but then we decided to take a walk into town to get a cup of coffee. We probably walked three or four miles round trip and honestly, it was lovely.

I’m also not big on shoveling snow. I usually leave it up to my husband, or we pay a neighborhood kid. But today, I decided that I could handle this. So I got my oldest kid up and we got out and tackled the driveway like the badasses we are. You know what? I kind of enjoyed it. She complained the whole time, but I actually enjoyed spending the time with her, I’m feeling like we really accomplished something. I mean, we did. I would not have been able to get out of my driveway otherwise!

I even went out and walked the dog after that, and saw these very creative snow people. I’ve seen lots of interesting, unique snow people.
