BuzzFeed Has a Running List of Protest-Related Hoaxes

While social media is our eyes and ears into everything happening with these protests, as always, it’s also a major source of misinformation.  BuzzFeed News has a running list of hoaxes.

For instances…no, TicTok didn’t block posts related to Black Lives Matter or George Floyd.

There were also several tweets about “missing” people, that were not actually missing.

Bottom line is, don’t believe everything you read, especially from unverified sources.
