Check Out This Gorgeous New Venue!

Hi this is Leslie Harris. This past Saturday night I went to a newer concert venue called The Epiphany Center for the Arts. I saw a Stevie Wonder tribute band play. First of all, the band was great. But the venue! You have to see this place.

It’s the former home of the Epiphany church, and it’s a gigantic old greystone building, complete with stained glass windows. There are four different performance spaces. We saw the Stevie Wonder tribute in the chapel, and then went downstairs and checked out a Bob Marley tribute in the sanctuary. There’s also catacombs! There was nothing happening there, but it was still cool area to explore. All of the spaces are available for private rentals.

David Chase his wife Kimberly Rachal spent 15 million dollars to convert the former church into this amazing venue, which sits on the near Southside on Ashland avenue. It’s a very safe neighborhood. My friend and I walked around for quite a while before and after the show, and saw lots of people out walking their dogs in such. And there’s plenty of street parking right in the neighborhood.

The Epiphany Center for the arts is at 201 South Ashland Avenue in Chicago. Find out more about them and their events HERE
