My Holiday Attitude Finally Kicked In!!

So I really hadn’t been struck by the Christmas spirit yet this year. I haven’t been able to motivate myself to start the inside house decorations that I usually have up and ready for Thanksgiving. I blame the pandemic because I cancelled my Thanksgiving here at home, so nobody was gonna be here and for the second year in a row I didn’t cook. I am jonesing on that point! The outside Christmas lights have been up since before Thanksgiving (but not turned on until Thanksgiving night) , but I decided I was gonna get my tree today instead of next week with all the hype and hysteria over the live tree shortage and everyone out getting those live trees this year. So I went to Home Depot where I’ve gotten my trees the last 3 or 4 years (good selection and good prices) and found a tree in about 10 minutes. Douglas fur! No problem. Brought it home and had it up and ready way before the Bears started their 3 hour odyssey, decline into snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. To spend almost 3 hours with the anticipation of a much needed Bears  victory finally and watch it evaporate before our very eyes was beyond belief, but it did motivate me to get my ass in gear and get Christmas decorations in da house started!! Pick up the pace loser!!! I love the holidays and I love spending time with friends and family and yet this year looks like it will be a huge challenge. The next 3 months will be soooo difficult and I hope each and every one of you takes this situation very seriously. We all are sick and tired of this COVID-19 pandemic and all that goes with it, but if we don’t all pull together and stop the bullshit political attitude about this virus (it’s not a hoax) we will continue to suffer through this unimaginable nightmare. Please work together and think of each other. Social distance and wear the damn mask and stay home and in your own circle as much as you can. I wish each and every one of you a Merry Christmas and my hope for all of us for a much better 2021.
