The job description for playing in Alice Cooper’s band

Hey, it’s Rich Dale.  Never mind those job search sites!  If your dream is to join Alice Cooper‘s band some day, there are 3 promises he makes to anyone who signs up.  On a recent episode of the Metal From The Inside podcast, he laid it out:

1. “You’re gonna get paid.”  Well, that’s a plus.  I guess a lot of people would do it for free, so we can’t take that for granted.
2. “You’re going to see the world.”  That’s what touring with a superstar involves.
3. “You’re gonna get stitches. Everybody in the band has had stitches.”  Uh, what was that?  Cooper elaborated a little.  “I’m a little bit freewheeling. I don’t necessarily look to where everybody is. And every once in a while, they walk a little bit close and get nicked. And those are not rubber swords.”  Understandable and scary.  But maybe for a lot of people, that’s a plus!  Maybe he has a good health plan.
