A Great Night of Local Theater

Hi, it’s Leslie Harris. What happens when Steve Martin tells a story of Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso meeting in a bar in Paris, in 1904?

Picasso at the Lapin Agile opens this weekend at the Lincoln Center in Downers Grove. It’s an interesting discussion between these two men, shortly before revealing some of their life’s most important work.

A lively, important cast of characters filter in and out of the conversation, and they are even visited by someone from the future.

A quote about the show from Steve Martin: Martin: “Focusing on Einstein’s Special Theory of Relativity and Picasso’s master painting, Les Demoiselles d’Avignon, the play attempts to explain, in a light-hearted way, the similarity of the creative process involved in great leaps of imagination in art and science”

I’m so happy that live theater is back, and we have so many great local theaters right here in the Western suburbs. We don’t have to drive far to enjoy great local theater.

Picasso at the Lapin Agile opens tomorrow, and runs May 6th 7th and 8th, and then again May 13th 14th and 15th, at The Lincoln Center in Downers Grove. Find out more, and get your tickets HERE
