North Aurora, Batavia Breweries Bring Home Hardware from International Competition!
The World Beer Cup Awards Ceremony was held on April 24, 2024, at the Venetian Ballroom in Las Vegas, NV and a few local breweries took home some hardware!
Brother Chimp Brewing in North Aurora took home a GOLD medal for their Vienna-Style Lager called “Ludwig.” The Vienna-Style Lager category was hotly contested with 104 entries submitted.
Also, Batavia’s Sturdy Shelter took home a BRONZE medal for their Munich-Style Dunkel dubbed “Wilson Street Dunkel.”
Other Illinois breweries that earned a medal include Chicago’s Old Irving (Juicy/Hazy IPA Gold), Tinley Park’s Soundgrowler Brewing (Historical Beer Bronze), Evanston’s Double Clutch Brewing (German-Style Altbier bronze), Mundelein’s Totality Brewing (Belgian-Style Dubbel silver), Crystal Lake’s Crystal Lake Brewing (Brown Porter bronze), Decatur’s Golden Fox Brewing (American-Style Imperial Stout gold), Barrington’s Sun Dian Brewing (Session Beer silver).
