It’s the moment you dream of when you are a child: to be drafted into the Major Leagues…by his hometown team, no less!

Congratulations to Aurora native Noah Schultz, a big, tall lefty who has committed to Vanderbilt University, but will forego his college commitment to play for the Southsiders.

If you want to hear the analysis of his game, you can watch the ESPN video above or read about him in this Josh Welge piece. I just want to congratulate him and his family on seeing the fruits of all their labor. Obviously he has worked very hard to earn this achievement, and the work is not done, but a kid doesn’t get to this point without the support and encouragement of his family and teammates! Conrats to Noah and the entire Oswego East baseball program.

We can’t wait to see how far he can go! Hopefully we’ll have an Oswego East night at the Cell in a few years!
