The band is going back to the beginning.  I mean WAY back.  And a live album could be arriving late this year or early in 2020.  As a Def Leppard fan…I am excited.

Def Leppard have been around for 40 years.  Still popular and still with mostly the same lineup.  They began in 1980 and this live album will feature all of the songs from their debut album On Through The Night, and a few tracks from their High and Dry release.  Pete Willis, the original guitarist who was replaced by Phil Collen in 1982 will be seen and Rick Allen will be featured before his accident.

It may not sound too polished, but then again, why expect it to be.  It will show the band in their younger days, raw and unhinged, and will give us a glimpse into the band that sold more records in the 1980’s than any other band in the world.  You can click HERE to read a bit more about it and see a clip of frontman Joe Elliott speaking to Eddie Truck.

I hope it gets released by Christmas.  It would look pretty cool in my Christmas stocking.  And if you are a fan of the band, it would be pretty cool to hear them when they were just starting out.
