Let’s Hear It For Local – Again!

Hi this is Leslie Harris. One of the things that I am most proud of working at 95.9 The River is how focused we are on local businesses.

Long before the pandemic hit we were focused on being a part of the community, and serving the western suburbs. Since the pandemic began, we have stepped up those efforts.

You’ve probably heard of our Local Business Love, where we are giving free advertising to an independent, local business. It’s been a while since I’ve done a thread on local restaurants, so I thought it’s time to do one again.

This tostada was every bit as yummy as it looks. It came from Taco Express in Westmont. We haven’t ordered from there for a while, and omg, I had forgotten how good they are. My kids also enjoyed their quesadillas.

I want to know what are your favorite, locally owned independent restaurants, whose dining rooms are closed, and are struggling to keep their doors open with carryout only. Let me know in the Facebook comments, and bonus points for pictures!
