The weather certainly hasn’t done us any favors, but maybe news that Centennial Beach in Naperville has set an opening date can bring the warm weather vibes?

Memorial Day Weekend — Saturday, May 28th to be specific — will be opening day for the facility that started as a quarry in the 1830’s, but that’s been in operation as a swimming facility since 1932.

It’s currently being filled with fresh water for swimming with the hiring of life guards and other staff ongoing.

The beach closes down on Saturday, September 5th.
