On Florida’s East Coast? Check out Lake Worth!

Hi, Leslie Harris here, and I think this is the last of my Florida blogs, but man, I did an awful lot!

One of my favorite towns in Florida is called Lake Worth. It’s about half an hour south of West Palm Beach. It is a hippie’s dream come true.

There are shops filled with Indian inspired clothing and jewelry and incense, funky resale shops, art galleries, and casual restaurants. Almost everything is reasonably priced too.

One of my favorite shops is called Bali imports. They carry jewelry and other semi-precious gemstone artifacts from, you guessed it, Bali. And the prices are phenomenal! I bought bracelets, earrings, aromatherapy diffusers and semi-precious gemstones.

My friend who lives there and I spent a rainy afternoon ducking in and out of unique shops, and had fresh fish tacos at a little hole in the wall.

I love Lake Worth so much that I wish there was an area like it in Illinois, but there’s only one. Oh, it’s also right on the ocean so it’s also got a beautiful beach. What more could you ask for?
