So Sad, Peter Robbins, The Original Voice of Charlie Brown has Died…

I loved Charlie Brown and also loved the voices behind them.  Peter Robbins was the Original voice of Chuck and he had his sad/depressed emotions down to a tee.  Unfortunately, that was too close to home for the voice-actor.

The man who voiced Charlie Brown in the 1960s Peanuts cartoon is dead.  Peter Robbins, who brought the iconic character to life in the holiday specials “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” took his own life last week at age 65.   His family confirmed his passing yesterday.  Robbins was just nine-years-old when he first took the role.  He spent years battling mental illness and addiction.
