Yesterday I spent the day at SeatGeek Stadium taking in a Chicago Fire soccer match! I didn’t know it until about halfway though, but it happened to be the last game of the season, and the final game the team would play at their custom-built venue before moving to Soldier Field next year!

It was a SUPER FUN TIME! We were two sections away from the “supporters section” – you know, the guys who sing, dance and chant for literally the ENTIRE GAME! It really sets a infections and energetic atmosphere.

The Fire played Toronto, and I didn’t know this until about halftime as well, but Team USA veterans Jozy Altidore and Michael Bradley suited up, so that was a lot of fun to see!

All in all, I’m sad to see the team move away from the intimate fan-friendly venue. Not sure I’ll ever make it out to Soldier Field for a Fire game, which is too bad!

Go Fire!
