Rock ‘n’ Roll and sneakers seem to have quite a strong partnership.   Many rock bands have worked with shoe companies to develop a unique brand of footwear for their fans.  Most recently Vans has partnered with rock and roll icons Led Zeppelin to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the band’s self-titled debut album.  They have produced some pretty epic shoes.  However Led Zeppelin were hardly the first to get in on the footwear game, read below to see which designers your favorite rock band worked with ….

Converse

Pink Floyd, Metallica, The Doors, Judas Priest * Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath, The Who (super cool Union Jack sneaks)

Vans

Kiss, Led Zeppelin, Slayer, Judas Priest*, Iron Maiden, Queen, Sex Pistols, Pearl Jam (super cool grunge themed plaid)

Nike

Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Rolling Stones* (these Stones ones will cost you over a $1,000!!)

Adidas

Rolling Stones*

Globe Skate Shoes – The Clash

Macbeth – Devo (these look more like shoes than sneakers to me)

Comme de garcon – The Beatles

Lastly … Phill Collens – guitarist of Def Leppard designed some shoes for a Canadian company called Six Hundred Four.  They were such a hit that they released a series of Def Leppard themed sneakers as well.
