Are You Excited for the Oscars?

Hi, Leslie Harris here once again for the evening shift, and the Oscar nominations came out today. I feel a bit sheepish to admit this, but I have not seen a single movie that has been nominated for Best Picture. In fact, when I looked through the list, I didn’t see any movies that I’ve seen at all!

Here are the nominees for Best Picture: Little Women, 1917, Ford v Ferrari, Joker, Parasite, The Irishman, JoJo Rabbit, Marriage Story, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The nominees for Best Actress are Scarlett Johansson, Saoirse Ronan, Charlize Theron, Cynthia Erivo, and Renee Zellweger The nominees for Best Actor are Adam Driver, Antonio Banderas, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonathan Pryce, and Joaquin Phoenix

Now, there are quite a few movies I want to be, and just haven’t gotten around to it. For example, Little Women, JoJo rabbit, and Star Wars are all on my list. I just haven’t been to a movie theater in ages.

My husband and I were going to go to the movies this past Saturday night, but the weather was so crummy we just decided to stay home and watch another episode of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Anyway, I am planning on seeing at least a few of these movies before the Oscars, which is only three weeks away! It makes the evening so much more exciting when I am rooting for a particular movie or movie star.
