Back in the Job Market? Here’s Some Good News and Tips!
Hey it’s Leslie, and I know several people over the age of 50 who are actively looking for work.
I got an email from AARP about people over 50 looking for jobs, and there’s good news. Employers are hiring older workers at a rate that we haven’t seen in a long time. In fact, over the last 40 years, the older workforce has nearly quadrupled in size.
People over the age of 50 offer expertise, maturity and a prospective that younger workers just don’t have, and yet it can be difficult for older workers to find good jobs.
AARP is a large, non-profit, nonpartisan organization, and they have some free tools for people over the age of 50 who are looking for jobs.
For example, AARP will be offering free interactive virtual workshops for job seekers during the entire month of February. You can register HERE
AARP also has a new job search toolkit you can see that HERE
