Happy National Concert Day!
Hey it’s Leslie Harris. Happy National Concert Day!
If you know anything at all about me, you know that I love cats, and I love concerts.
I try to catch some type of music event at least once a week. Many times, especially in the summer, I’ll get to three and sometimes even four shows a week.
People tell me that they get tired just reading about my adventures, and they ask me how I get the energy to go out night after night. But the thing is, I actually get MORE energy from listening to live music, and being out with people.
I’ve even gone to concerts by myself. In October of 2021, I drove all the way to Detroit by myself to see the Rolling Stones, and then came home the same night.
I prefer going to concerts with people, and fortunately, I now have even more friends who also enjoy live music, so I’m rarely alone at shows anymore.
People often ask me what’s the best concert I’ve ever been to. It’s hard to pick just one, but if I have to, I would say Aerosmith’s 50th anniversary concert at Fenway Park in Boston. Many of my Aerosmith friends came from all over the country, and I was in the pit. I was about 12 ft away from Steven Tyler and Joe Perry for a good part of the show. The photo is me at that concert. You can see the front wall of the pit just behind me.
Do you also love going to concerts? What’s the best concert you’ve ever seen? Let me know in the Facebook comments
