For those about to rock … we salute you!!   Sometimes lyrics and titles of songs don’t mess around … they just get straight to the point.  They want you to rock … so they tell you to rock!

Sometimes bands will tell you to rock in an aggressive way  and other times they tell you in more of a light and fun way like below … Of course this is not the first time I have talked about my love of the Stray Cats … (I mean Jan Shimek still wins number one Stray Cat fan award but I do love them too – still bummed about that Rib Fest show that was cancelled because of storms!)   Anyhoo … songs about rock are particularly good when they are in the Rockabilly format… Rockabilly is one of the earliest styles of rock and roll music, dating back to the early 1950s in the United States, especially the South.  As a genre it blends country music with rhythm and blues, leading to what is considered “classic” rock and roll.  Nobody nailed modern day Rockabilly better than Brian Setzer and his Stray Cats.   During an era of punk rock and new wave … that fact that the Stray Cats had success in the eighties just shows how timeless Rockabilly really is (and how awesome the Stray Cats are.)

So enjoy this bit of fun and if you don’t tap your feet to this one … then you probably never tap your feet!
