Yet Another New Venue For The Western Suburbs

Hi it’s Leslie, and you may have seen my post about all of the live events that I went to last year. If you didn’t, and you’d like to see it, click HERE

One of the things I love about going to events is checking out new, or new to me venues, and there’s a new venue opening in Downers Grove.
Eleven 26 is going to have two bars, including one one accessible by a secret door. That room will also feature a stage, and they’ll have live entertainment.
The owner, Suzanne Positano says there will be speakeasy vibes, and it will occupy the space of the former Busy Bee bakery on Main Street.
Suzanne is opening the space in honor of her late brother, musician Steve Jessen, who’s mantra was, “What if? Why not?” Brain cancer took Steve’s life in 2015. The name of the venue is Steve’s birthday, November 26th.
Eleven 26 will serve craft cocktails and light bites. They’re also planning Sunday gospel brunches, a summer festival and a VIP club. The festival will help raise money for brain cancer research.
I was surprised to read about this. I have been in the Busy Bee Bakery, and it must be much bigger in the back because it honestly doesn’t look big enough to house not one but two rooms. I can’t wait to see what Suzanne Positano does with this space!
Eleven 26 is set to open this spring.
