Another Family Funday at an Aurora Staple
I’m a bit ashamed to admit it, but this was my first time at Aurora’s Blackberry Farm.
My wife and kids have gone multiple times over the last few years. With her having summer’s off and always on the lookout for kid-friendly things to do, Blackberry Farm is always on the list.
It only cost $10 per person for a day pass, and there is PLENTY for the kids to do. We’re talking carousels, train rides (with a super cool depot that once stood , hayrides (they call them wagon rides), a huge park to play in, and even a super cool zip line for the kids.
Kinda thought there would have been ropes blocking off people from walking across the path that zip liners travel…even saw one dad get smacked by a flying kid, which was hilarious – no one was injured in the incident!
The super hero lunch got us there yesterday. For an extra $8, the kids got to take pictures with Batman and Capt. Marvel, some crafts to make and a sack lunch.
They also have paddle boats, but you weren’t about to get me in there and tip that thing over. No thanks!
As far as masks, they aren’t required, but they are doing their best to get the message to people who have not been vaccinated. Honestly, this is the best way I’ve seen any organization explain their policy.
With summer coming up, Blackberry Farm should be on your list of things to do.
