Betty White Day is Coming to Oak Park!

Betty was only a little over one-year old when she moved out of Illinois to head to California with her family but that shouldn’t stop us from celebrating her life in the town she was born.

Oak Park will be celebrating the life of famed actress and Oak Park native Betty White. The former star of “Golden Girls” and “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” died last week at the age of 99. She was born in the western suburb in 1922 before moving to California as a 1 YEAR OLD. TMZ reports Oak Park Village President Vicki Scaman will issue a proclamation declaring January 17th as “Betty White Day,” which the village plans to make an annual event.
