Bring the Kids To A Bar This Weekend. Really!

Hi this is Leslie Harris, and I almost didn’t tell you about this event when I saw the location of it. I was looking for a family friendly event to share with you, but much to my surprise, Q Bar in Darien is hosting the 35th anniversary of Darienfest, and it starts tonight!

The carnival will run all four nights, and live music begins tomorrow, Friday August 11th.

Anthem headlines Friday night, Kashmir headlines Saturday night and Beyond the Blonde headlines Sunday night.

In addition to the carnival and music, they’re going to have food, a beer garden, bingo, and a business expo.

It’s all happening in the parking lot of Q Bar, 8109 South Cass avenue in Darien. Thursday and Friday’s hours are 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free.
