Police in Aurora are looking for the car of a person who struck and killed a woman riding her bike home from work.

Elizabeth Kakoczki of Aurora was riding her bike when she was hit. First responders tried giving her CPR when they found her, but sadly, it was too late.

While we mourn with her family, we are also on the lookout for the car of the driver. Hey, it was dark, maybe the driver thought they hit a deer or something. I’ll reserve right to make a judgement, but right now, we just have to find the person responsible.

There is no description of the car, but it likely has noticeable front end damage. Aurora Police also gave us video of the location where this took place.

Anyone with any information about the hit-and-run should call police at 630-256-5330. You can also report an anonymous tip via Crime Stoppers at 630-892-1000.

Let’s try to help this grieving family find out what happened to their loved one.
