How to Acquire Your Favorite Local Craft Beer During the Quarantine
I’m always astounded at how helpful and passionate the craft beer community is. The pandemic seems to have brought the best out of this group. There is talk about starting a fundraiser for industry working who won’t be getting paid. That’s fantastic, but this ideas was the most obvious!
In the various craft beer Facebook groups of which I’m a member, there’s information about which breweries are offering to-go service. which ones are offering delivery, who has specials and others who are donating money to their non-salaried employees during this tough economic time. Only one – as far as I know – has put it all together in one neat little package.
My friend James Kennedy of Will County Brewing Company started a website appropriately called SupportLocal.Beer to help consumers like me know where, when and how to support their favorite local breweries, their families, while enjoying a delicious brew while cooped up in your house for the next few weeks.
The website is a work in progress as information from local brewers continues to be ingested.
Thanks, James!
