Let’s Play A Game

Hi, Leslie Harris filling in for Mitch Michaels. Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is a time for well, giving thanks, obviously. Did you know that science has proven that getting in touch with feelings of gratitude can actually alter your brain chemistry?

So many of us have been struggling with keeping a positive attitude, so let’s play a game. Go to the comment section of this post on Facebook, and tell me 10 things you are grateful for. But also, take a moment to really FEEL that gratitude. Science tells us that if we make a habit of doing this, we can actually improve our outlook on life. So why not? It can’t hurt.

Here’s my list, in no particular order. I’m grateful for:

My family

My home that is warm in the winter and cool in the summer

That I have, and have always had enough food to eat

My wonderful friends

My cats and dog

That I am able to foster cats and to help transport cats and dogs, giving them a second chance and

I’m so grateful for music

I’m grateful for my church and rich spiritual community

I’m grateful for the personal growth and development classes that I’ve been taking for many years, and that I can continue to take them online

And I’m grateful for my job here at 95.9 The River, and for you, the listeners, who make my job possible.

Your turn
