Local Guy Stars in Those AT&T Bad Announcer Commercials

So you know those “Just OK is not OK” commercials we have been seeing all the time during the college basketball tournament? The one with the dumb color commentator? Turns out the actor who plays the lead dumb guy in those commercials is a local guy!
His name is Tim Baltz and he’s a Joliet native. He graduated from Joliet Central in 1999 before going into the city to pursue a comedy career with stops at Second City and iO. I’d say it has been pretty successful since he’s had appearances in Veep, Better Call Saul and Parks and Recreation and is currently on the Hulu series Shrink!
