So What Are We Celebrating Today?

It’s Leslie Harris, and today is March 27th. Even though we are social distancing, we can still have fun today.

There are several silly holidays that fall on March 27th, including National Joe day. So, happy National Joe Day to all of you regular Joes, Josephines, JoJos, Josephs and Jolenes.

Today is also National Scribble day. When was the last time you scribbled, you know just for fun? Go ahead and try it now! You never know what might come of it. Maybe the next Great Masterpiece!

It’s also National Spanish Paella day. It might be too late for you to whip up some paella, so put it on your calendar for next year.

Today is also World Theater day, but unfortunately, all of the theaters are closed, so perhaps you could find some theatrical event to watch online, or perhaps make a donation to your favorite local theater. I can almost guarantee, they are having financial stress.

Probably the best theme for today is Quirky Country Music Song Titles Day. While I am not a fan of country music, I do have fond memories of my dad singing ‘Put Another Log on the Fire’ to my mom. ‘A Boy Named Sue’ is another one that comes to mind.
