With the pandemic raging and inflation gaging and unemployment staging, how’s it that so many peeps have quit or are leaving their jobs? I’m thinking’ most everyone is still in need of food and shelter and that don’t come cheap these days (reference inflation gaging a 40 year high). “The Great Resignation.” The popular phrase refers to the roughly 33 million Americans who have quit their jobs since the spring of 2021. So what’s the deal? Apparently most Americans quitting their jobs merely seem to be aiming to get better jobs. The phrase my Dad taught me comes to mind: “Don’t quit your job without having another one to go to”. Trying to explain this phenomenon is way over my pay grade so I’ll differ to the experts below.
