You can’t get as famous as Popeye’s New Chicken Sandwich without making some enemies…I guess.

Now I love a good chicken sandwich as much as the next person.  But I did not get caught up in all the hoopla for Popeye’s new sandwich and their feud with Chick Fil A.  I didn’t have the time, and it seemed to be sold out everywhere anyway.  Which is one reason for the frustration from Craig Barr from Tennessee.

Craig has filed a lawsuit against Popeye’s over the apparent drama it has caused his life.  Click HERE for the story. But the main details are:

He wasted countless time driving from location to location to get the sandwich.  (Call ahead next time)

On one drive he blew a tire and cracked a $1500 rim

Got swindled on Craigslist from someone who claimed they could get the sandwich…and stiffed him.

Was humiliated by his friends.

He accused Popeye’s for false advertising and deceptive business practices.  He feels they intentionally understocked their stores (I actually DO believe this) and he is seeking $5000.

If you were on the  jury…what would your verdict be? Does he get some compensation, or told to just go away?

All this…for a $4 sandwich.  What has this world come to.
