The Fighting Illini Fight their way into the 2nd Round

Third-seed Illinois is advancing to the Second Round of the NCAA men’s tournament following an 85-69 rout over 14th-seed Morehead State in Omaha. Terrence Shannon Jr. led the team in scoring with 26 points, while Marcus Domask recorded the 10th official triple-double in tournament history. The forward sunk 12 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and dished out 10 assists. The Fighting Illini face 11th-seed Duquesne in the East Region tomorrow.
