The Forge: Lemont Quarries Is Open! Here’s My Interview With One of the Founders From February

The 300-acre adventure park embedded in the Heritage Quarries area of Lemont opens it’s gates today. If you haven’t heard about it, or want a refresher on how it all got started, here’s my interview with co-founder and Lemont resident Jeremie Bacon. He talks about where the idea came from and what to expect from the park.
There is some controversy in Lemont about whether The Forge was the right fit in the quarries area. Being a native and having frequented the quarries and from what I have learned about the people behind the project, I truly believe it will be an asset for the village!
