This Has Only Happened Once Before. Ever!

So yesterday something happened at Guaranteed Rate Field that’s only happened once before in the history of the world! Well to be a bit more specific only once before in the game of baseball. Yesterday the White Sox won their game with the Detroit Tigers, but that’s not it either! Yesterday Sox manger Tony La Russa earned career victory No. 2,764, the second-most for a manager in major-league history, as the Sox beat the Detroit Tigers 3-0 in front of 20,068 at Guaranteed Rate Field. La Russa entered the day tied for second with John McGraw. It’s truly great that the fans are back in the stands and so many could witness this remarkable achievement in person. The Sox look like real contenders this year and we congratulate Tony on his accomplishment, but he does have a ways to go to catch the all time leader in victories. He trails Connie Mack, who had 3,731 career victories. Don’t stop now Tony!!
