Hi this is Leslie Harris. We all love tulips, and every spring, we see their glorious colors bursts. But I didn’t know how special they were until a few years ago.
I have a friend who moved from the western suburbs down to Florida. One year, she asked me to send her pictures of the tulips because they don’t grow in Florida. Of course that makes sense, but I had never thought of that.
If you are looking to add color to your yard next spring, Naperville has a deal for you! They are giving away free tulip bulbs. Yes I said free!
It’s happening this Friday, June 9th, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at 55 South main Street, between Van Buren and Benton Avenue, while supplies last. You must bring your own bag, and be prepared to select your own tulips from large crates. It’s first come, first serve, and once they run out, that’s it! However, they’ve got a lot, so you’ve got a good chance of snagging some of these bulbs.
And, they are free, however, Turning Point Autism Foundation will be on site to help, and will gratefully accept donations.
