What’s going on with fireworks this year?

Hey, it’s Rich Dale.  I don’t know about you, but I’m more of a professional fireworks kind of guy rather than DIY fireworks.  So I’ve been pretty bummed thinking that there might not be any fireworks happening around the area.  And that’s pretty much true.  But there are a few places that are doing it — either really or virtually.  Here’s what’s happening around the burbs:

  • Seatgeek Stadium in Bridgeview is opening at 7:30 on July 3rd for free fireworks.
  • Naperville is doing fireworks at the Frontier Sports Complex at 9:30 on the 4th.  You can watch from a field in the park or from your car.
  • Romeoville on the 3rd at 9:30 at Volunteer Park.  Attendance will be limited, so if you live there and can see them from your house, do that.
  • Batavia is having a parade at 10:30 AM on the 4th.

Other places are having fireworks but attendance is either limited to residents or residents have to watch from home.

Have safe fun next weekend!
