Winter Fun for the Whole Family

Hi this is Leslie Harris, and even though we’ve got mild weather for now, I’m pretty sure winter is not over, so keep this in mind. Cantigny in Wheaton is a beautiful area to visit anytime of year, and they are having their Winter Fest which continues throughout the month of February.

The grounds at Cantigny are always beautiful for a walk, and sometimes I think it’s more important than ever to get outside and try to get a bit of fresh air and sunshine this time of year.

Once it freezes up again, you can also check out Cantigny’s ice rink and Oak Lodge on the Parade field. Admission to the rink is just $7, and you can rent skates for $3. The Oak Lodge features snacks like giant Bavarian pretzels, housemade chili and a s’mores kit for two.

And the Cocoa cabanas look great for a group to sit down and relax, and have some snacks and beverages. Reservations for the Cocoa cabanas are recommended.
