Two of my favorite movies are White Men Can’t Jump and Back to the Future, so obviously I’m a huge fan of Woody and Mike (they don’t know it, but we’re on a first name basis). I have always thought they would be fun to hang out with and have a few beers. Well, it turns out I may not quite be on their level!

Woody Harrelson presented Michael J. Fox with an honorary Oscar called the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the 13th annual Governors Awards on Saturday.

In his speech, Woody talked about the time he visited Michael in Thailand on the set of the 1989 movie, “Casualties of War”.  They went through a jungle and ended up at a “cobra and mongoose fight.”

After the mongoose won, the blood of the cobra was poured into a glass then mixed with Thai whiskey.  Woody said drinking the cobra blood is called, quote, “becoming brother to the snake”.

Quote, “Mike and I drink lots of things together and he can hold his own . . . but Mike promptly vomited his snake cocktail . . . never could hold his cobra blood.”

When Michael accepted his award, he told Woody, quote, “I love you.  We did some damage in the ’80s.”
